I am relocated a BCM and it has set relocation active, should I turn set relocation off before relocating it or leave it on and when the phones re-attach the extensions will be remembered by the phone/bcm?

This was a temporary office which is now becoming permanent.

Depends on what you want to do at the new site. If you leave set relocation on before you unplug all the sets, the system will "remember" when you fire it back up at the new site.

If you want the same person to have the same number and set at the new site, just tag them with the extension number and put that set in the right office at the new site. It won't matter which port you connect it to because the system will reprogram it with the correct ext number as long it is connected to a live port. Just don't try to connect too many at the same time. I only do max 3 sets at a time.

If you don't care what extension gets connected at the far end, go ahead and turn it off so the extension will stay with the port no matter what set you connect to it. Once it's fired back up. look for your extension and cross-connect the correct 4-pair to it.

Whatever you do, remember that if it's turned on and someone is doing some fault finding tests, it will confuse them if they don't know it's turned on.
