I had a weird problem that i have not been able to figure out. A customer with a 6X16, DR1 software somehow has set relocation turned on. Problem is i cant take it off. I have verified this by moving several phones and the extension would follow. The software has a part # NT5B10DA with an expiration date of 1990 for the warranty. The KSU has a part # of NT5B01, MFG date of 931000. I am almost sure it's a DR1, due to no transfer, Config programming does not ask for a password. And you must use the Admin password to change names, time, and speed dials.
Anyone have any idea's?

Gabriel,
I've had the same problem in the past, as well as MOH not working, and sets reinitializing all of the sudden for no reason. Try replacing the battery, (capaciter), on the software cart. You'll need to soldier it, but the loss of all programming my correct the problem. Additionally, I would take the KSU apart and check the condition of the transistors and diodes located right next to the power transformer. If they look burned or deter. you may want to replace them as well. I believe all these parts are available at refurbsupplies.com. They have quite a few parts for phones.

Galfaro, Nothing is wrong with it. That is normal operation for DR-1. It had set relocation permanently turned on. No way to change it in DR-1.

I did not know that. Now if i was to default the ksu, could i then assign ext. in the order i want? Or, would i have to have all phones disconnected before cross connecting phones in the order i want?
Gabriel

If you default the system, you should arrive back to the order they are punched down on the block.
Every single Norstar set has a unique ID, and all KSUs can remember what sets have been on them, but I believe all of that gets blown away when you do a startup.

I've seen some strange things with set relocation, like a newly refurbished set that returned home after being gone several years.
