Set on BCM

Reception set has 8 analog lines & one DID ringing her set. Also the General Delivery MB(1000) is attached to this set.

Is it at all possible to have her DID if no answer go to her personal MB (4296) while allowing the main lines to continue ringing the set?

The only way I know is using Express Msg Line but that means the DID won't ring the set.

I don't think it can be done without affecting the main lines but maybe someone out there knows a trick or two.

How are the calls getting to the general delivery mailbox at present?

This might be a way if you do not need a message waiting lamp being light for the general delivery mailbox.

Set up her DDI as a hunt group. Then under the hunt group set the overflow timer to voice mail.Create a mailbox with the extension number of the personal mailbox and set the extension number for the mail box as the hunt group number. set the alernative extension as her extension. (If you want message lamp notification)

Remove her extension from the general delivery mail box because you can not have 2 mailboxes associated with the one extension. If the answer to above question is she uses a call forward. Then when the call is forwarded to voice mail because she has no mail box associated with her extension it will go to the general delivery mail box. Set up the remote notification and set her extension as the remote extesnion and the voice mail will ring her when she has messages.

Thx Marshall I'll see if it works.

All calls on the main number ring reception. The AA is suppose to only answer after hours at which time they'll be given the option to leave a general msg. So right now I have not setup cfwd NA 'cause all calls both DID & the main # will go to the mb that is attached to the receptionist set.

Basically the main receptionist doesn't want the back up receptionist to be accessing her private msgs for DID.
