set nw client properties through zenworks ?

Hello folks
We have recently upgraded from zfd 3.2 to 7 and I am wondering:
I rememeber setting the properties for the nw client through zen but when I´m looking in C1 now I can´t seem to find the policy which does this. What I mean is that I want to be able to change a local setting on the nw client for all the computers in a container. Does anyone know ?

What I would do is create an APP Object called "Client Settings" or something. Then configure it with the registry keys that make the changes you want. Push it out silently to everyone.

The nice thing about this is you can add settings to it as you find new things you want to tweak. It can be a work in progress as users find new ways to piss you off.

If you create a workstation policy object, go into the properties and select the "Policies" tab, click to get the drop down menu and choose Windows NT - 2000 - XP you will see an option called "NT Client Configuration". Enable this policy and click properties to edit it. Setup all you client options in there and assign it to the PC's you wish to have it take affect on.

Well I'm not going to give away the methods to my madness...

But setting up a policy can be done by a Monkey. Hacking the registry takes a little bit of skill..

I have not used that policy before. but if I'm not mistaken, it's a legacy policy (zen3). If you were to install ZEN 7 brand new (And ZEN3 had never been in your tree), then I don't even think you'd have that as an option. Need to clarify this with Brent though. I looked at it the other day and the options there are not the same options you have in the 4.91 client, for example, LDAP Contextless login. So it seems a bit dated to me..

I tried setting LDAP contextless login through this policy on a computer with 4.91sp2 client and it worked fine.
