I have an application attached to a DN that does not ring the phone at all. Instead it goes straight into the application. I would like to change this to ring the phone x number of times before the application starts so a user has the opportunity to answer the phone.

How would I go about doing this? Please keep in mind I'm a not phone administrator by trade, and that I will be using GUI tools and not PBX command line.

TIA.

Hi,

What you could do (Without the terminal) is replace the phone. I think you are using MAT/OTM or something.

It could be that the phone is forwarded to the CallPilot and that the forward light is confused.

Do you know anything of terminal??? If you know he username/password we should be able to walk you trough

Marc - I use MAT Navigator and the Callpilot GUI admin tools. I can do very basic tasks on the termial such as setting the time/date, viewing the T1 channel usage, etc.

I'm not sure about the forward, or where to check for that. Again, I would strongly prefer to use the GUI tools.

TIA.

Ok MAT will most likely not help you in this situation.

There are a few "easy" things you could check.

Look up the TN of the set that is giving you the problem in MAT. When you have found the TN, connect to the switch and log in.

Type:
[tt]LD 32
STAT TN (Where TN is the TN of the set)[/tt]

If you get DSBL the TN is disabled type:
[tt]ENLU TN[/tt] to enable the set and try again.

If the get IDLE try the next thing.

If it is an analog (500/2500) set that is giving you the problem print the TN in the switch.
[tt]LD 20
REQ: PRT
TYPE: TNB
TN: The TN[/tt]

If you see FTR CFW X YYYY at the bottom of the print, the set is in forward (X is the number of digits allowed and YYYY is the destination of the forward and should be CallPilot).

If it is a digital set go to LD 80 and type:
[tt]TRAC TN[/tt] if it shows CFW activated the set is in forward.

If all this doesn't work could you please provide the print out of the set?
