Can anyone explain how to set the fixed MWI key to call the nupoint hunt group instead of displaying "No Messages" on the screen? We're not using the embedded VM.

Thanks!

The MWI key calls the device that set the message.

If it is calling the EMEM then find out why the EMEM set the message.

The message waiting light and MWI key light up when there's a message from the NuPoint, yet when I press the key, the display shows "No Messages". The extension in question has no EMEM mailbox configured. I don't think the EMEM is setting the light, the NuPoint is.

Then why did you mention EMEM at all. It only confuses things.

What method are you using to set MWI from the nupoint?

If not using MiTAI, is the port you are using a member of the Voicemail Huntgroup?

I assumed that "No Messages" came from the EMEM, sorry about that.

Integration between Nupoint and 3300 is DTMF to PBX Dialer. The MWI port is not part of any of the voicemail hunt groups, of which we have three for different companies.

Should it be and if so, does it matter which group?

In order for MWI call back to work the port used to set MWI needs to be in the hunt group (all of them) and have a COS the same as the other voice mail ports but with Permeate Do Not Disturb added.

Excellent thank you! I've implemented the changes and will test tomorrow morning. The MWI port was not in the hunt groups, and some COS options were different but the Do Not Disturb Permanent was set to Yes.

Well that worked!

A detail however: when I press the MWI key I get a "Call me back?" message. When "Read Message" is pressed I can then press Call and it takes me to the VM hunt group.

Is there a way to eliminate these steps and have it call the VM hunt group directly?

Thanks so much!
