Hi,

I need to modify an existing deployment of Outlook 2007 (created with OCT) so that a non-Microsoft e-mail client (Novell GroupWise) can be used for mail, contacts, and calendar. I been following the instructions in this article below:

I have been having no luck and I find the article confusing. Let me further clarify something. Outlook 2007 is not being being deployed as part of a STD or PRO installation. Three scenarios could exist on a given computer:

- GroupWise, no Office. Needs Outlook.
- Groupwise with STD or PRO. Needs Outlook.

I have gone through this article several times over and its just not making sense. Please don't me tell it can be set manually through IE. This needs to be done for alot of computers. Thanks.

By the way, that link is for Vista - just happened to be the first link I found referencing the topic. You didn't mention the OS, so I just grabbed one. Should be roughly the same amongst OS versions.

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:57

I would tend to agree with you that it needs to be done on the O.S. level. The computers are a mix of XP and W7 computers. Do you have any suggestions on changing this with a script?

Not off hand, but I'm sure you could post in one of the Windows forums, and get someone to help you in that direction. I've seen a lot of talk in those forums about writing windows batch script files. One guy posted several that he used as FAQs in one of them, but I forget which.

Try looking there. Here's a listing of the Windows forums:
