Set date in RH6.2

How do I set the date in RH6.2 with out going into Linuxconf or Xwindows? James Collins

The command "date" will do it. ______________________________________________________________________

You have to use the date command in this format...

date MMDDhhmmYY.ss

MM = Month
DD = Day
hh = hour
mm = minute
YY = year
.ss = seconds

The year and seconds are optional.

To change the date to 11/04/02, 6:40pm...

[root@penguin root]# date 1104184002.00
Mon Nov 04 18:40:00 EDT 2002
