Hi there,

I want to add an additional path to the $PATH variable displayed under SET. But instead of using the export PATH= command I want to just edit the file containing the path. Does anyone know what this file is called and where it is located?

I am running RH8.0

Thanks in advance,

Glenn

HI,

YOu can check your /etc/profile or /home/user/.profile or your shell startup file eg .bash_profile, .kshrc, .cshrc etc and they all depend on your shell.

regards,
feroz
