Set bar chart column color based on field value

Hi,

I have 2 charts in the same COGNOS 8 report, one for current fiscal year and one for previous fiscal year data.

However, because some items didn't exist in the previous fiscal year the colors vary between the 2 for the same item. It seems to me that COGNOS sorts the values and assigns them by the sort order from the list of colors available.

Has anyone 'hardcoded' the bar colors based on the value a column/field contains? If so, could you explain how you did it?
