I would like to know if there is a relatively easy way to turn on an auto responder for a specific user mailbox without having to open Outlook on the users machine (from the Exchange box.) If anyone is familiar with some simple scripts I am not opposed to working with scripts. Ultimately I would like to have it so that if a person is out of the office his/her office assistant could turn on the auto responder without having to contact IT to set it up in Outlook.

Erm, if the punter knows they are going to be out of office, shouldn't they turn on the OOF?

If not, they can connect using OWA and turn it on. There is no script as far as I know.

It doesn't have to be a script, I was just using that as one possibility. I am just surprised that there is no way to set Auto Responders from the Exchange System Manager (since it is a setting on the server.)

It is a setting within the non ipm subtree of the mailbox of the client - administrators changing settings within mailboxes could be a security issue.
