Good afternoon.

We have a manager who has a number of customer care employees responding to customer email using the "customercare@ourcompany.com" profile. The manager wants all outgoing email from this profile to be blind carbon copied to him, without the employee knowing about it.

Ignoring the employee relations aspect for the moment, how do I set this up? As a server rule, or what?

We think we have to set up a specific template that will be used by this profile for all mail messages. Is that correct?

Any ideas, references, resources, or war stories are greatly appreciated. Kathryn

This depends on the mail server you're using. There are ways to copy all outgoing mail on a sendmail server, or just those that match a certain from/to address. Similar methods may exist for other packages. Without knowing which one it's hard to help you further.

Under sendmail you'd simply set up a rule that processed each outgoing message, looked for that from address, and appended a second destination of the manager.

Thanks for the reply.

We are using Outlook 98 and 2000 with Exchange.

If this enables you to be more specific I would be very grateful.
Kathryn
