in my pages, after the application is completed, i use session.abandon to destroy all the session variables. If the user click the back button, the session seems to stay active. How can I fix this.

If I put a session.abandon in the page before all the session items are normally created, will that cause a problem if there are no sessions active?

That is possibly because the session is being created again on that page. I would try this...

<%

'# After...

session.abandon

'# create a session like...

session("redirUser") = True

%>

And on the page the user goes back to when they click the backbutton before sessions are created do this... (top of page)

<% If session("redirUser") = True then

Response.Redirect "complete.asp"
Response.End '# Stop reading the rest of the page.."

%>

Hope that helps...
