Sessions dropped with liksys, fine without. 1

I have strange problem that affects only few users me including.
I have comcast cable modem and am connectiong to Metaframe 1.8 and XP servers through checkpoint Ng Firewall using securemote.
When my computer is connectedt straight to the cable modem my connection stays up even when idle until the time out I specified on my citrix server (1hr). But if i put Linksys cable router then if there is no activity in the citrix sessesion for more then 5-10 minutes then the session gets dropped and it then tries to reconnect. I played with settings on the linksys and even tried netgear and smc routers as well and am still getting droped. If I go back to only cable modem then all is fine. I did set the TCPMax retransmits and such as per many suggestions in this group but still no help. It only happens to 3-4 users out of ~50 who are also on broadband.

Anyone has any suggestions?

Some routers do not like the default client MTU.
Play with it a bit, to find a good one.

HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\services\tcpip\parameters\interfaces\"ID for Adapter"

Add a dword value MTU with a value of 1492 decimal

(Default MTU for ethernet = 1500, for DSL = 1492, dial-up = 576)
