Sessions Being Logged Out

Windows 2000 Server SP4

Running an application as a service which opens a listening port for incoming messages. Connection drops after 15 – 40 minutes.

Logged in on console and ran program from the command line but the session is logged out after 15 – 40 minutes.

Is there any way of monitoring what’s happening?

Have you checked with the vendor of this application (what is it by the way) to find out if this behaviour is a bug? Check their knowledgebase for this issue

Yes I have, and it isn't. It's been running 24/7 for over two years.

Try running one of the process monitoring tools from Sysinternals (

http://www.microsoft.com/sysinternals)

to get a view of what is going on.
