I assume the session_onStart function starts a session. I know nothing about ASP, so I am only assuming.
If so, then the function you want is session_start().

It seems to me that I have to start sessions myself - which seems weird.
in ASP the on_Session_start and end event handlers give an opportunity to perform tasks at these times, as sessions are created by the server on first request of an application page.
So how then would you set something to occur when a session ends - in order to empty the shopping cart?
I'm sure I'll find it in the manual, it is just a bit different to ASP is all.
