Is is possible to adjust the timeout property for a session. We are displaying a demo version of a website and would like the session to stay active continuously. Is this possible?? Mise Le Meas,

Mighty :)

session.timeout = x

where x is a value in minutes -- I don't know of a way to make it perpetual.

link9,

Thanks for the response.
Does that go in the global.asa file? Mise Le Meas,

Mighty :)

I usually will just put it on the first page of the application.

You probably could put it in the global.asa file, too, though.

Thanks link9.
I think I'll follow your example and set it after a successful login. Am I right in assuming that the session will timeout after x minutes of inactivity. Mise Le Meas,

Mighty :)

yep

And to reset that timer, what I normally do, is every time I check the value of a session variable, I'll reassign it's value just to be sure it's reset.

I've never been able to get a straight answer on whether or not simply checking the value of a variable is enough to reset it, but setting the value definitely does.

:)
