Hi all,
I have a question concerning SBC, Session Border Controller. We will be in the process of replacing our T-1's with SIP trunks. In a nutshell: we are currently carrying voice and data over these T-1's which terminates in a router. From the router it connects to a Cisco switch for the LAN and to another Cisco POE switch to the IP phones. So far all is well.
The question is, is there a Cisco router-integrated SBC device (or any other SBC manufacturer) that can handle both voice and data? In other words, I want to input voice and data to a local SBC, connect via SIP trunks to the far end where another SBC will separate the voice and data and send them to their endpoints. I know that SBC's are for voice, but, just wondering. Your responses would be greatly appreciated.
