Services won't run after demoting via dcpromo

I recently demoted one of our Domain Controllers back to a Member Server, which is also a DNS server, and after DCPROMO finished, some of our SQL services will not run...when trying to start them, it gives me an "access denied" error. The SQL services run as SQLAGENT, which is still a user in our domain. If you run the service as administrator, or even add SQLAGENT to our Administrators group on the local machine, it will run fine, however, Id rather it run as SQLAGENT as it did before. Why does the demotion cause these issues, and how can I fix it to use SQLAGENT again?
