Please can anyone help.

I have an NT Workstation machine that is running McAfee Anti Virus. All systems have been running fine until our last DAT update. Since the update the machine will not log onto the network and just hangs.

I need to know if there is a way of either booting NT into a "Safe Mode" or anyway that we can stop the McAfee service.

Any help on this matter would be gratefully received

Regards

Jon

When your system first boots you should see bott menu for a few seconds. Choose the second choice for VGA mode. This is the equivalent of Safe Mode.

If everything seems to be going well: you don't have enough information.......

Have you tried using the control panel > services and then selecting the mcafee service and switch it to a manual start instead of automatic.
