I have a BCM400 with ringing services activated automatically and only 1 target line that is set to be controlled. When the services kick in the control phone has the display "Services On" which is normal. I also have a second phone that displays "services on" that is not a control set of any kind. What could be making the second phone show "services on"?

There was a thread about this a while back.
Go through your programming and check for another control extn but this might help.
are you using AUTO or MANUAL service

The defaut extn used for a control set is usually the first extn on the first port of a BCM. eg 221 default.

This would be the control extn for all lines.
If you have assigned another extn EG 225 to be a control extn for line 300 then extn 225 will show "service mode"

extn 221 will also show service mode if "auto service" is active.
This is because both extns are control extns and only 1 service mode can be on so it displays on all control extns .
