Hi,
I have a service that has log-on as a specific user properties. This is stopped using net stop, so that it doesnt conflict with backup operations, and net started after the backup scripts run.
What we se is that the service fails to start due to a log-on failure. What we do to fix it (and have to do this EVERY DAY) is to go to the logon properties tab and set the details (either the username - a local user with lots and lots of rights, or set the passowrd to what it already is) back to what they already are, and the service starts, with the info pop-up that it (once again) has been granted the log on as a service right.
Why/How does this right disappear overnight, as it were.
