Service Users in Security Settings 3

I'm unable to make more than 16 Service Users on a IP500v2 preferred edition on 9.0.5, the docs state up to 64 service users. Are the Avaya docs wrong? or a bug in 9.0?
 
In security settings>system is the number of service users set to 64?
With upgraded systems to 9.0 you MUST default the security settings with a serial cable before configuring them as during the upgrade security settings get really messed up.

No, it says 16, I'm guessing this system was updated to 9.0 from 8.1 at some time.

So to get 64, I have to default the security settings? Can this be done via the manager? File>Advanced>Erase Security Settings (Default) or must I use the serial cable DTE way?
 
Yes it can be done with Manager.
Can't you change the value from 16 to 64?
 
no, it's just an information box, I can highlight it, but it doesn't take any input. I did the default and now it comes up 64 users, so basically needed to default the security settings. Thanks! I could not find out the reason anywhere in the docs.
 
btw, not sure if the docs mention it, but defaulting the security settings logged out the hot desk users on the system. (makes sense to me) Not sure if it did a full reboot, but users complained that it they got cut off and logged out. Manager didn't warn me of any potential reboots or affecting users, so just an FYI with what I experienced.
 
I know on 9.1 when defaulting security settings, it does reboot the box. It doesn't warn you but it seems to reboot it.
