service unavailable error....need help

Hello,

i'm pretty green to IIS, and even more green to IIS 6.0 on w2k3. i never ran into this before, and its stumping me big time. everytime i try to browse to anything within my website, i get a page that says "service unavailable". thats it. no error code, no prompts, nada. the source code literally says just "service unavailable". i checked permissions and it all seems good. anyone else seen this?

open the IIS console, browse to your default site, and double check to see that it is "running", as opposed to "stopped".

I know it seems silly to check, but beleive me, its always the small things...
