I have a proxy server installed. Recently, it appears that the service will stop after some idling time (e.g. 1 day). To restart it, all I need to do is to log on to the server. Then the server's own status will show it restarted when I logged on.

I can't find any server specific settings. Is there any general control in Windows Server 2003 that can lead to this behavior?

Thanks!

Is there anything logged in the Event Viewer?

Have you actually checked the account properties? Is it possible that you have a logon time limit set on the account either manually or through group policy?

There is nothing showed up in the event viewer for this. It's run using SYSTEM account.
