An 8410D phone was working, then suddenly went dead. No lights, no dial tone. When I status the station, the service state field shows "disconnected". I've tried to busy out the station and releasing it. The phone still isn't working and the status still shows disconnected. Help!

you check the cross connects, try replacing the line cord, try a different phone??

Tried replacing phone, line cord etc.....still dead. I know on Nortel's - the digital phones would sometimes just turn themselves "off" and you'd have to re-enable them. Is there any command like that on the Avaya?

No there isn't, at least not that I know of. A busy and release would usually refresh something. If you've already checked all the cross connects, my next suggestion would be to move it to a different port, maybe the port went bad.

Try busying out the station and then releasing it. Use 'busy station xxx' and 'release station xxx'.

I've had the odd digital port do this myself, try plugging a different phone into the port that isn't currently working. If it still down and you have changed all cabling I would suggest replacing the circuit pack or just don't use that port. If the new phone does work then the other phone must be faulty.

If you hadn't tried already, instead of busy/releasing the station you can do the same to the port itself.

Have had a few instances where this helped with a seemingly dead phone. Only difference is we're using the 64XX series.
