Simple question I hope, where are the dip switches to reset the service processor back to factory defaults? We bought this 9115-505 early last year. I think I must have done some initial setup on it and then got moved to something else.

I have come back to it and found the ASMI password for user id admin, is not admin and it is also none of our "standard" passwords. I have read that you can flip 2 dip switches on the service processor. I have removed the cover, but do not know what I am looking for. Where is the Service Processor to be found and where are the dip switches?

Hello GolfClipper,

If you don't have much data to loose than you can do hard factory reset provided you have Physical Access to BOX. or you can request IBM for dev "password of the day" providing Model & S/N# ,IBM service can generate dev passwd.

Good luck.

Many thanks to MoreFeo and Aixexplore. Both really useful info.
