Hi

Any idea where I can download the Service Packs & Secuirty updtaes from in their entirity from?

I would rather do this than log on & use Windows update as it takes too long.

Thanks

Depends on your bandwith. At one place there is a cable connection so we download the entire network install of the latest SP. At another place we don't have a 64k ISDN line so its not practicle for 129Mb! I call MS and they send it to me on CD.

I'm not sure if you can do it using GPO, but for a big roll out you'd need something lke SUS server. Give MS a call for the secuity update kit thing. The one that contains SUS, ISA, Win2k server, Win XP pro and other stuff on it on eval.

Good Luck,

Steve.

For Windows 2000 SPs try this:

They are usually found linked from the OS "Family" page at ms.com (eg. Windows 2000 Family, Windows XP Family etc.)

There's no fixed download location for hotfixes as they are generally linked from technical articles that outline their function.

Might prove useful for some of them.
