Hi all,

Here's the deal:

I have W2K Professional SP2 on a laptop. I use SecuRemote to get into my corporate network and from there I can use SAP, Outlook, etc...
When I run a table function in SAP, the connection seems to peak out and the session stops. This also happens when I got to synchronise my Outlook.

HOWEVER,
I also have a W2K Prof. on alaptop with NO Service Pack. Everything else is the same, network settings, ISP, SAP, Outlook profile, EVERYTHING.
When I run the functions on this laptop such as SAP, and Outlook synchronisation, IT WORKS!!!!!

SO I logically concluded that SP2 is causing the problem.

Now, I can't delete SP2 from the laptop (bundled install)...so how do I remedy this problem?

Or you could go the other way and conclude that SecuRemote is the problem. W2K has not caused any problems on any of the systems I have loaded it on. You might want to try to get an update for SecuRemote. Also, try SPing the machine again. Nate Gagne

Well if SP2 was bundled in then you probebly cannot uninstall it unless the place that installed it enabled that. You can tell by going to Add/remove software in Control Panel. If its listed then you can uninstall it. If it is not then you cannot.
As ngagne mentioned, SecuRemote could be the issue. Is it loaded on both machines? James Collins

I meant to say that "SP2 has not caused any problems..."

Have you downloaded all the Critical Updates AND the Application support package? Nate Gagne

Yeah, the general jist of your replies were true. (is that how you spell jist?)

Focus on finding a fault in SecuRemote, not Windows. (probably because we all know windows is faultless)

anyway, downloaded latest build of the SecuRemote and I was back in business.

I didnt think to do this because on comparing with another PC which was config'd exactly the same, I figured the only difference (SP2) between the two, was causing the problem

Tnaks guys
