To Everyone

I installed service pack 2 on my 2003 domain and backup server -and since it was installed I lost the domain trust between the 2 - network connectivity drops and sometimes users cannot log in.

I also loaded it on my Great Plains server and the server slowed down and started kicking people out of the program.

I tried to remove it from my main DC but it intergrated itself into the system - couldn't demote either DC because it they saw each other but didn't see each other.

It was a mess and it took me 24 hrs to repair the damage done.

And I am not the only one, several colleges have ran into the same problem.

Just a note to let everyone know there is a problem with service pack 2 - so stay away from it.

Your post doesn't really make a lot of sense to be honest, there's no real detail and some contradictory statements but thanks anyway.

FYI - I've had no problems with SP2

I've only tried it in testing so far but haven't encountered any issues with the OS or third party apps.

We are about 10 servers in and as of yet no problems (including GP), we did have issue with one of our ArcSDE servers where it caused our key to act as if it was invalid, everything is running on it but we cannot login. Were told we need to do a repair or a reinstall.. crappy cause they offerend no true reason why it happend (Microsoft support), did some googling and found this can happen with service pack updates.. but here again very vague. Any else EVER had this problem???

Sincerely,
