I checked to make sure that there were no members, but is there a code that can be entered in order to override. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm not clear on what you are asking.

If you have no members in a Service Observing group, then there's no one to observe.

That would not prevent someone from just picking up a LINE if your system has direct lines appearences.

What I was asking is this: We have a Legend that used to be used in a call center but is now in a regular office setting and there have been some rumblings that the manager has been listening in on phone calls. I just wanted to make sure that the service observing feature was not set. How do I check to see if there are direct line appearances? Thanks in advance.

DIRECT LINE APPEARENCE -

If you have a button on your phone that is an OUTSIDE LINE, then that is a DIRECT LINE APPEARENCE.

If your system is SQUARE, then you have DLA's for sure.

If it is set for HYBRID-PBX, you only have DLA's if sets were programmed with them.

If phone A has the same DLA's of phone B, then phone a can access what ever line phone B is using. UNLESS, PHONE B has ACTIVATED PRIVACY.

To insure that Service Observing has been done away with, go to SPM Admin and print out Service Observiing. That will tell you right away.

To find out if LINES ARE ASSIGNED, you'd have to do a PRINT ALL, which can take HOURS, and look at individual extensions. (Unless you know you are in KEY MODE.)
