Service Observing and IP agent

Has anyone ever experienced this before?

I have a supervisor who is service observing at the agent level. All of the agents are using IP agent. When they are being observed they actually have torelease the call in order to get the next call. They are using auto-answer and this does not happen when they are not being observed.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!
