How do I enable service observe for the NEC2400IPX? This is going to be used for quality and assurance purposes and the customer will have a warning tone notification when service observe is going to be activated. Im assuming this is basically executive overide?

The Feature your looking for is "Executive Override" This will barge a call with a warning tone or Pip tone. Warning tone is the indicator that the call is being monitored, this may be turned off IF you have an announcement saying "the call could be monitored for quality assurance purposes" etc.

Prgramming:
ASYD Sys 2 index 70 bit 7: 0/1 (pip tone on/off)
ASPA SID 4 needs to be assigned for B/H
ASFC SFI 3 for the monitored station needs to be set
ASFC SFI 4 for the monitoring station needs to be set

Ooops
The actual feature name is "Executive Right-of-Way"

Thanks! I'll give it a try and let you know the outcome.

gave it a shot but received a fast busy with restriction on display. I know that there are conflicting features and already have them disabled in command ASFC. Am I possibly missing something else?

hmmm the only other things would stop it should be busy station service, and data line Sec.

To turn on BSS
ASYD
sys 2
index 0
bit 1 = 1

and turn off DLS
ASFC
SFI 11
to 1

Regards,

Dr VuDu

For command ASFC wouldnt you assign 0 for off and 1 for on.
I tried both 1 and 0 and I still receive a restriction. Actually I dont event get to dial the whole access code before restriction comes up.

DLS is one of the backward Jinglish service restrictions.

DLS = 0 for on
DLS = 1 for off

I would check ASPA for busy and hooking

so the call should go.
1. STA A connected to outside party.
2. STA B calls STA A and receives Busy tone
3. STA B dials Special access code.
4. STA B hears Service set tone
5. STA A receives Warning tone
6. Barge in occurs.

if your not getting to dial all of the digits in the special access code, then your looking at an ASPA problem. If you can dial the full access Code and then get REST your looking at an AFSC problem.

Dr VuDu

So I turned off data line security in command ASFC.

1. STA A Connected to outside party
2. STA B calls station A, Receives call waiting on display!
Cannot dial access code.

call waiting is enabled.. it must be turned off for the barge to work. it is a competing feature and will not work with the Ex R.O.W.

ASFC
SFI 6
flip the bit.

Dr VuDu

Alright works great! Thank you very much Dr. Vudu

Is there anyway you can mute the line that barges in using E.O.R?

AKYD
Key Index 1
Fkey 124 (Mute)

depends on S/W rev on the card but it should work.

Regards,

Dr VuDu

Are these ACD positions that need to be monitored?

grh959- No ACD attached to the system! would like to in time though.

DrVuDu- Mute works good. Thanks again....
