Service Observe VDN to External Number

I'm trying to set up service observe for a vdn that "route-to's" an external number. When I service observe the vdn, it sits and waits for the next call (as it expect). When a call comes through, I hear dialing and then the first few words of the conversation but then it cuts off.

This won't work as the call "Flows out" of the VDN that you are monitoring, so the VDN call is finished once it leaves the switch, thus ending the service observe.
