service mode on tapes

tapes are in service mode and we can't backup them in Networker

Of course you can switch the drives back to normal mode. However, it would be better to find out why this happened and solve the problem first.

Not so easy as the actual screens vary with the version.

First of all, go to Devices, not to Media.
Select the defective drive, open its properties and look for the tab where you enable/disable it. Try to re-enable it.

If the problem re-appears/persist, get somebody to fix the hardware.
