Hi,

I have a slight problem with Service Manager (5.3A SP1). I want to find out how to set default reports for users; We have customized reports like one for picking slip so the problem is that when users print picking slip, they always have to browse the report rather than the desired report being the default.
Another problem is that when loading items to jobs, the employee field comes up blank which gives a problem when posting since the items cannot be posted with that field being blank. Isn't there anyway that We can set that field to default to a certain Employee so that whenever users load items, the items come up with that field filled.

The first one is easy - use Customization Folders in Admin Services to have different reports for different users. I don't know about the second one, but you might ask Technisoft, they're a pretty good crew.

If you assign an Active employee to a job then service lines that you add to the job underneath that employee will take them on as the default. You have to have purchased employee packs to be able to assign employees to jobs, however.

I have tried the option of assigning an active employee to a job but it seems not to work. After assigning that particular employee, when I load either material or service line to the job, the employee field still comes up blank.

Then I'm not sure. You can always send an e-mail to:

technisoft@technisoft.com.au

Which is their main point of contact for support. They'll get back to you fairly quickly with the answer.

Ok thanks a mil, it looks like i wasn't saving after assigning an employee to the job, after saving everything comes up right. My bad!
Your help much appreciated.
