Service could not start

Are the dependant services running? A service will not run if the services it depends on are also not running. Look at it's dependancies.

yes I've check the dependencies, the error message (when you try to start it) should tell you in fact if the services it depends on has not been started.
I've been able to solve the issue meanwhile! This is due to applying a hotfix from MS. Sure MS has not been testing this hotfix enough before releasing it. I'm not sure about which hotfix it is, reverting from SP4 to SP2 solve the issue
