Hi,

May I ask anyone to help me better understand what is Call Server, File Server in AVAYA PABX? Are these servers should be separated to each other?
What are those data that phones should get from these servers?

I am newbie to this system?
Your response is a big help for me.
Thanks much

A call server is a server which handle calls, a file server is a server providing files.
IP Office is both at once, simple as that.
IP Phones can retrieve setting files and firmware from the file server during the boot process and when the boot completes the phone registers to the call server then the call server knows that the phone is on line and reachable.
