I have a server with content I'm wanting to geo-block and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any software that can accomplish this. It could be on a specific port or protocol if that is any easier.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be really appreciate it.

Thanks

Interesting. I've never tried this before, but I found this site that offers a product that does something like what you're looking for:
I also found this:
You could probably create a custom solution using Perl or PHP. I looked in PPM and Perl has several Net-Whois packages for querying whois information.

The problem with geo blocking is ensuring accuracy. Users get really ticked when they feel unfairly blocked.

If you're using Apache, consider the Maxmind GeoIP database. They have a free version that is supposed to be in the high 90 percentile and a paid one that is supposedly 99% accurate. We use the paid version which also has an Apache plugin mod_geoip. It's easy to install and it works.
