I am running a SAS application on a server running NT 4.0 SP 6A and on a Workstation running NT Workstation SP 6A. The workstation is a superior machine to the server. When running the SAS sort on the Workstation the CPU time is a lot faster than on the server (which is to be expected since the Workstation has a faster processor). However, the real time on the Workstation is a lot longer than on Central4 which means that the results take much longer to be displayed on the Workstation than on the server. Is there anything that can be done to reduce the real time on the Workstation so that it will display the results faster than the server as it does use less processing time. Any advice appreciated.
