Does anyone know the best way to update a table from the mainframe server? I have tried
TransferDatabase in marco and VB. And Linking the tables, but because one of the
table is FoxPro it will not like. I can import the tables from a SP.dbc file, but not from
.dbf. But the data get updated daily, I would need an automate way for the update to
the tables.
Just curious how you solved it -- I've only used TransferText to import single tables...

I linked to data and used an append query to insert the data into a table that I developed by copying the main table and pasting the structure of the main table. Then after the data have been added just cut the main table and change the other table name. All the query and forms I used are working find now. I still am trying to develope a macro to automately do this, but I have did that yet. And linking save space on my hard drive instead of importing.

I did find a macro that would automately update the data. I use a marco that would first activate a delete query and then it would activate a append query with the specifications that I had previously set up. Then assigned the marco to a button.
