I have a server application that only prints to networked printers.

When a Citrix client connects to a Citrix Server, is the local printer connected to that client available in the network so that the server application can use it?

There is a Terminal Services setting to allow mapping of local drives and printers to terminal services (Citrix Sessions).

Are you using Citrix PS4? This uses the UPD (Universal Print Driver) which will mean that you do not need to install the printer drivers on each of the Citrix servers, it will map accross from the client PC.

The mapping of local printers in PS4 doesn't always work. Depends on the printer being used. I have found that I need to manually connect some printers (mostly Epson) & then they are recognised on the next session.
