server timeout settings access through Goldmine

Can I change the server timeout settings in Goldmine? If so how can this be done?

A problem I am having with 100's of duplicate emails is possibly because of the way goldmine is reading a certain email. Hoping that a change in timeout settings will stop this 6 week old problem. Don't want to have to stop using Goldmine.

Go to Edit|Preferences|Internet|Advanced options|Retrieval tab and over on the right you'll find the options you need to tweak.
