server stops loading please help

running a netware 5.0 sp6a server. The server was restarted and now freezes at the following line:

ID-LUN-7-0 DC-390U Host Adapter (this is after the line service pack revision 6 and after loading the .nlms)

I'm not familiar with netware 5 and someone is asking for some advice on what may be happening.

i'm guessing the scsi adapter malfunctioned...removing to see if that works but if anyone knows otherwise let me konw.

It maybe worth back reving the adapter driver. With it saying LUN it could also be a parameter needed on the driver. They driver have been updated annd there are various parameters like /nolun and other stuff depending on the card.

What is the card and driver? I could have a look and see if there are any parameters now needed. Lee Smith

thanks lee....the particular scsi card was no longer being used but was kept inside the server. Removing it solved the issue. What exactly does the acronym LUN stand for? I recently entered the IT field and still catching on .... eventually an expert

lun = logical unit number, I believe.
