Hi All,

I'm in the process of putting a project together for an implementation of Exchange.

What would you recommend for a Server. I'm going with HP.
Would you recommend Stand alone or Cluster Server. I'm new to the Cluster Server, does anyone have any bad experience with Cluster Server.

Oh the exchange server will need to facilitate 1500 users, only for email and owa access.

Thanks for any input.

I'm in the process of building a test environment hopefully to deploy.

Hardware:
3 Dell Poweredge 1850 back-end servers
1 Dell Poweredge 850 front-end server
1 5 TB Equallogic SAN with iSCSI connectivity

Software:
1 Windows 2003 Standard Edition OS - Domain Controller
4 Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition OS - Exchange
4 Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition - Exchange

I'm new to clustering and this project is becoming a challenge but from my research clustering is honestly the way to go. I recommend reading/researching a LOT about clustering not only from Microsoft but from other sites also.

Good Luck

Apart from some pernickety setup, I have had good experiences with microsoft clustering services and exchange and it makes maintenance a breeze.

Doesnt give you geographical resilience without lots more thought.
