I have BE 8.6 Win2000 installed ona NAS server.
I have installed all licenses, remote agent, open File Option, Exchange Agent & server license.
When I try to make selections from MS Windows Network servers, the shares are greyed out and cannot select folders or files.
The default shares are selectable but as in the case of MS Exchange agent, it will not allow mailboxes to be selected due to this.
It was allworking ok, then we had a problem with the server NIC & disks & had to reinstall the whole operating system & BE software again. Now this happens?
Any ideas?

If you are using the Veritas Backup Exec software from the server, you will not see the network shares on the computer. Instead you will need to backup the folder itself. If you place a share on another computer within your network, then try to back it up, you will be able to see it.

No, I am using the Remote Client to view, but it is the same from both remote & Terminal Services on the server.
It was working before we rebuilt the server, but not now?
I have reinstalled ALL remote agents on other servers as well just to be sure, but still nothing but defaults?

Doglet,

Have you checked to make sure you have Enable Selection of user shares? If not, select tools from the menu bar, then the Network tab. Check the box "Enable Selection of user shares"
