I´m trying to use the server setup configuration utility in the standby server to load a new keycode put it do not start.

Every time I try to open it the message Starting SYBASE service appears and close and the following message appears in the event viewer: "Faulting application svrconfig.exe, version 5.0.0.0, faulting module odbc32.dll, version 3.526.1830.0, fault address 0x0000673d.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
"

Does anybody had faced this problem before?

if my memory serves me right this is due to the sql server service not being started try manually starting the sql service and try to run the setup config util again

Symposium uses Sybase instead of SQL database and the Sybase service is running. I had already tried to stop and start it but the problem remains the same.

Thanks,

Check that the keycode has not be lost i have seen this issue before

Try this:

Take a Platform Migration disc from the Active server and restore it on the standby.
Atleast it will take you to the Configuration utility. You can then change the parameters (Server Name, IP address etc.)to suit your standby.

Alternatively you can refer to lots of case histories on the Nortel site regarding the Standby Replication configuration.

Goodluck.
