My Windows 2000 server is running very slow - at the moment, computers do log into it... eventually and can access the files on it... eventually.
The symptoms are identical to an article on Microsoft which explains that TCP filtering is a cause, but in this case, the filtering is set to allow everything.
It's not an NIC problem, as I have tried two. Definitely a software problem. While booting up, the server takes 30 mins on the 'preparing network connections' stage, regardless if the network is plugged in. When I get to the desktop, Active Directory won't load as it says "The Server is not operational.".
:-s Help!
