Hi

I have an issue where our corporate file server has massive disk IO issues and I want to be able to see what user is causing it.

Can anyone recommend a good tool that will give me an idea of where the issue is being caused. Eg a reporting tool that will list what user and what process is causing the disk IO and what resources its using?

Thanks

Other than the performance MMC that comes with Windows, and viewing connected user (computer management MMC or with command line) there's not much else that ships with Windows.

If you take a look at the Windows Task manager, you can have all processes listed by users, and you can add columns to the view such as page faults. It isn't pretty, but it should give you a basic snapshot.
