hi,
i have a quesiton about redirect. we have a server with lot of images (in "/images" folder) that needs to be put in another server. we will still be hosting from the old server but i need to set up the files in such a way that when we the server goes to access images from "/images" it is retrieved from "new_server/images" . i have used the server redirect before but will the static pages that go to access the "/image" folder be redirected at all? if so, just a regular redirect file should do it right??
btw, i am using Red Hat 9.0 (not sure about the version)...and apache 2.0.46

thanks

i guess another way to put this is:
how do i redirect any request(static or dynamic) that comes to "/images" folder to "new_server/images" ----
thanks

i guess the regular redirect worked just fine.
but any input is appreciated regarding any precautions i should take,
thanks

kaancho12,

Check out the Redirect directive:

Example:

Redirect /service
If the client requests it will be told to access instead.
